Need some fast quality food to feed your bees? Plant Buckwheat! 

Buckwheat is easy to grow and can flower in as little as 4-5 weeks. It will provide nectar for honey production for your bees during the times in the year when nothing else is flowering. (Also known as the Dearth)

Sow seeds at 40 to 50 lbs per acre or 3 lbs per 1,000 square feet after all danger of frost has passed in the Spring or Summer. 

Buckwheat can be cut down after it has seeded (roughly 72-75 days) and can reseed. Will continue to grow and produce flowers until late fall frost.
